4th International Meeting at “Bourazani” in Konitsa, Epirus

The 4th International Meeting at “Bourazani” in Konitsa, Epirus, is part of the global efforts to implement the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and is an initiative of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) entitled “75 UN – 75 Trees UNAI SDG7”.
The initiative is linked to efforts to enhance CO2 capture by trees and aims to increase and protected flora and especially forest wealth (REDD+), with emphasis on urban and peri-urban areas.
The initiative promotes planting and protection actions for trees by local communities within the framework of international and regional cooperation policies and by securing funding from the public and private sectors.
The 4th International Meeting will take place during the 47th week of 2024 and its duration will be determined by the intention to participate in its work by the local community, the Municipalities of the region, the region of Epirus, the Parliament and the Government.
Under these conditions and on the basis of previous meetings and discussions with local municipal authorities, the following draft and under development program is proposed.

and cross-border cooperation in the Aoos Valley.
